Catch-Up

OK so, here's a little something because I need to catch up for the lack of blogging that hasn't happened since my last post.

I finished my first summer semester and that was all good.

La Ronde was pretty cool. Despite all the warnings of rain, not a single drop fell while we were in good ol' Montreal. Though the roller coasters didn't really have that much on Cedar Point, this one new ride called "Goliath" is worthy of mention, because it was pretty much on par with some of the good rides I've tried @ CP. Also, the wooden one was really cool... but when you think about it, which wooden rollercoasters aren't cool?

Anyway, here's Goliath:

It was pretty awesome.

So second semester started out again, during which I had to do a bunch of interviews for CO-OP, which was crazy stressful. Turns out, I've been matched up to work with one of my former professors, Dr. Catherine Côté, in the Fall, on some research that she's been conducting. Should be interesting. This was confirmed today, so, I'm pretty pumped.

Last weekend, Mike and I went home to Niagara because his best friend just bought a house and they were having a housewarming party. That was all good. Drunken firemen in the pool and stolen bed-side tables make for a good party. Sunday, me n' the rents went to the Falls for to take dad out for a sortof be-lated Father's Day lunch. Don't know when I'll get to go home again, but we'll have to do that again for his birthday, which is also coming up...

Speaking of that... I have to work on Canada Day. How bunk is that? Ah well, I guess it was expected. Besides, there will be plenty of time to get drunk after 4:45 pm. I should be thankful Dave didn't schedule me for the night shift, cuz I'd have been PO'd something fierce.

Screening for Superman went well, despite the being way early in the morning, on Tuesday. The movie was really good too, except Kate Bosworth kindof sucks as Lois Lane. Teaser for Spider-Man looks pretty good too, especially considering TOPHER GRACE is going to be in it.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeet.

Anyhoo, gotsta get ready for work. Should be busy... working concession and training the newbie on the first night of Superman's release. UGH. That's a lot of popcorn.

Okay - what on earth does "bunk" mean? I mean I can assume from the context that it means poopy and what not... but where did this term come from? I'm out of the linguistic loop (the Canadian one, anyway).

Did you hear about the Superman symbol being flashed on the Falls? Pretty awesome!

Goliath looked sweet, yo! Where's David at? Kiddie land? *faux laugh a la JDizzle*.

You and I have a date in September little sister for "The Last Kiss".
