Jack, Zach and Fox

Going to keep it simple this time around.

THE RACONTEURS were absolutely amazing last weekend. That and the proximity to Jack White has kept me alive all week, even during the most difficult hours of watching Harper win the election over and over again on old episodes of CBC's the National.

on that note... the new job is going well

ZACH BRAFF blew me away in The Last Kiss, a film I'll probably appreciate more in about 5 to 10 years when I actually go through the whole quarter-life crisis thing. Except for the loud-mouthed douchebags who didn't shut up throughout the entire movie (that's right, girls who were sitting behind me at the World Exchange at Friday's 4:00 showing.. I called you douchebags... I'm the one who couldn't take you so I had to change seats...douchebags!!!!)

Anyway, aside from that it was amazing. Everyone should see it! EVERYONE. E-ver-y-one....uh...Except maybe my parents.

ANYWAY. Trust the Man was good, minus the cheesy "boy wins back the girl x 2" formula. Nothing like seeing 2 relationship crisis movies to put you in a confident mood about the future! :P

ALSO, Paul and Curtis came up this weekend. Fabulous evening gentlemen, and a big thanks to all who came out. If I said anything at all that was either ridiculous or offensive, or a combination of the both, please write it off as "another one of Brie's drunken blunders"

Yesterday was a great day, which I've labeled as "OFFICIAL HANGOVER SLEEP-OFF DAY." Next time Curtis should remember to bring th IV so we don't have to worry about the headaches and sick roommates.

Sad to see this weekend wrap up.

Not busy enough?

So, I know I ususally spend most of my time on this thing complaining about how I'm always too busy to write, well, lately, I don't know why I've not been writing, because I've not been busy... AT ALL.. In fact, I'm kindof bored.

I suppose that'll go away soon because I officially start my new job on Monday as a Research Assistant at the University of Ottawa and tomorrow I'm taking a brief trip to Toronto to re-unite, at least, in the line of sight, with Jack White... lovely.

I had my first ride on a Harley the other day, and let me tell you, it was fun!! I wish I had some form of motorcycle... despite the lack of practicality.. especially in Ottawa, in its' half-a-year-of-winter-ness. But whatever, it was fun and very liberating.. despite the fact that I wasn't driving it, and it felt really good after two softball victories, following a not-so-impressive season altogether.

But the future brings forth good things, by the look of it, and soon, I'll be complaining about being too busy again soon, which, oddly enough, I seem to be looking forward to.
