So many people need jobs, why do they keep getting offered to me?!

Seems I only ever have time to blog on Sundays. . .

What a week. Why can't I just have one thing on the go, ever? I was offered a summer job at the location where I'm currently doing my work term. Sure that's great. But, I kindof just wanted to take this summer easy and only go to school and work the theater. Maybe that doesn't sound ambitious enough. I had brought up the possibility of working @ the gvt. in the summer, but I honestly didn't expect them to have anything for me. Now all of a sudden, two weeks before I finish my work term, they want me back for the summer. I mean, it's a great place and the people are splendid, but.. there will be SO much time for 9-5 office jobs come the rest of my life. These are supposed to be the best years of my life.. and all I do with them is work. But then again, who can turn down a government job and no university-related debt? Any logical-minded student couldn't...

so what do I do?... work at BOTH places?... Have a full time course-load and two part time jobs... again????

and no summer?... or sunshine?, or fun?...

sounds like that's probably what I'll go for. Again.

And a root canal, to boot.

Oh the joys of life.

Birthday Move

The past few months have seen many angry blogs about living far away in Westboro. Let it be known that never again will I have to complain about the Clearview apt., as I know have officially returned downtown with the help of a few good friends, some beer, and a pretty damn good/exhausting weekend.

After work on Friday, I made friends with Mr. Clean for what was to be our last night out in the 'boro. I stayed up til about 1 am cleaning out the nasty-ass kitchen before I was able to get some sleep. Note that U-Haul sucks. We were supposed to get the truck at 8am but didn't end up with it 'til about 2:30. Good thing Maura was there, and not on the side of the highway, because her little Neon helped us out a great deal...

So a big shout out of thanks to everyone that came out to help, to those who said they would help even though they had better stuff to do, and to those who were going to help but then because the truck was late, were no longer able to.

I hope it wasn't too much of a hassle bringing all my shit into a new apartment building where there are no elevators. Sorry about your back Bond, I hope it didn't have too much to do with the couch in the hallway @ Mike's ...

The room is starting to look like a bedroom, and I think that as soon as it's all done up the way I would like it to be, I'll probably post some photos.

Also, a big thanks for all the birthday wishes from everyone. I'm glad BJ & Shannon were able to make it to ESM, but it was too bad you two had to leave early, because we had some pretty good times at Barrymore's afterwards. (Thanks for the drink, btw Shannycakes)

80s night was pretty awesome. Good friends, good drinks, and music from a decade wherein I was still wearing diapers.

All in all... a pretty awesome weekend well deserving of many thanks!

Here's to many more nights like yesterday, now that I don't live so DAMN far away from everything!!!
